With just over two weeks to go, the conclusion of the 2019 British Supermoto Championship is tipped to be yet again a breathtaking finale.
With three riders in the chase for the championship crown the grand finale will commence at the stunning Lincolnshire Cadwell Park Circuit on the weekend of the 2nd – 3rd November.
Over the course of the previous seven rounds, taking in circuits such as Crail in the north east of Scotland, down to Pembrey at the edge of the Pembrokeshire peninsular spectators and riders alike have been treated to some, if not the best handlebar-to handlebar action for many years all in a bid to take overall 2019 championship honours.
Richard Blakeman (Team Fat n Fast) Jordan Bannon (HGR) and Jamie Duncan (Pope Racing) are all in contention for official the official Auto Cycle Union Norasport British Supermoto Championship title, there's no doubt at all that Cadwell Park will create the arena for one of the the most spectacular gladiatorial supermoto battles in many years.
Going into the final round the points tally indicates the title could go to any of the three riders concerned.
1 54 Richard Blakeman 314 points
2 11 Jordan Bannon 310 points
3 7 Jamie Duncan 286 points
However, let’s not forget at this point, there are still many other categories in the British Supermoto Championship where equally those riders concerned and associated teams have worked hard to gain an overall win in their particular classes.
For the three chasing the British title its just a short time since they all represented their country at the Supermoto Des Nations where they recorded a credible joint 6th position overall and riding as a team their aim was to work together for the best possible finish. However, the concluding round of 2019 will see a very much different emphasis as individual honours are up for grabs and with the aim to be top of the podium this may possibly induce some of the best racing we have seen across the season to-date.
It certainly is the ideal opportunity for spectators to witness some outstanding racing. With a friendly paddock you can also be assured that as you meander around you will be made to feel welcome, ask questions and grab autographs from the top riders. Cadwell Park offers visitors outstanding facilities combined with the most spectacular views of the circuit, particularly as riders leap the famous mountain section.
Supermoto UK will be providing regular updates thorough the weekend via their social media pages and at this point are planning (yet to be confirmed) bringing you all ‘LIVE FEEDS’ in collaboration with Peter at LAT Creative Design. We will be bringing you more information regarding this in the run up to the event.
